Date Night

I didn't write my "Monday Stuff" post yesterday so I thought I'd write about weekend stuff. We had a good one! Friday night my sister came over to babysit while Ryan and I went out on a much needed date night. We NEVER go to the movies anymore but it's one of my favorite things to do. Ryan wanted to see Draft Day and we had a gift card left over from Christmas. Karlyn was excited to have aunt Karoline all to herself and I snuck out in time for us to eat before the movie. I was happy to see that one of our favorite burger places now has gluten free buns! I ordered a turkey burger with cheese and we split the sweet potato fries. I ate every last bite!

The movie was great. I really enjoyed it and it kept the attention of my always falls asleep spouse. We did have to sit on the end of a row instead of in the middle though since we were late. Movie pet peeve!!

Saturday morning Kar and I headed to the first farmers market of the season in our area and picked up a few things. Then we went to an essential oils class where I got to smell some new Young Living oils and pick up a reference book I'd ordered.

I LOVE Stress Away. Will definitely be getting that one soon. Speaking of oils, my allergies have been a mess the past few days. And I don't even have allergies! Somethings in the air so I've been diffusing lavender, peppermint, and lemon and today I saw a huge difference. I came home with a scratchy throat and runny nose and after running the diffuser and literally putting my face in the mist several times, my symptoms were gone. We've been having a slight "ants" issue too, I think because we had the dog food inside. Anyhoo...I didn't have any ant spray so I took a paper towel and added several drops of peppermint, lavender, citrus, whatever I had and wiped along the area where I'd been seeing them. I just now checked again and saw 1 ant. Only 1! Yay.

Later we took a family trip to Home Depot where our toddler proceeded to find some little plant booklet, climb up on this ladder/stool thing and say, "Be quiet everyone, God's lesson is about to begin." The girl is crazy! We let her get her "watering candle" which she was happy about. #itsthelittlethings

Sunday we went to church, came home and ate, and then this happened. :-( This was one of two red 13x9's I have and it made me sad. I was just washing it when...CRACK. I guess there will be an empty space now in our hutch.

That was our weekend! And tomorrow's already Wednesday. Tick tock, Tick tock.
