Eat Real {Week 2} and Sunday Football Madness

I've made it two weeks into Eat Real and we have 20 days left.  I honestly am feeling so fantastic!  I was telling Ryan tonight that I feel like I have more energy and after I eat a meal, I actually feel GOOD instead of tired, lethargic, and craving more salt, sugar, etc.  Whatever's happening, I like it and it's motivating me to stay strong and to keep it up.  I still have my moments where dessert sounds really good but I'm learning to ride the craving wave until it subsides or have a healthy substitute instead like grapes or some banana "ice cream."  Or more meat =)

Last Thursday night I went to a free CrossFit workout they offer twice a month at the gym and it was a lot of fun.  My co-worker Michelle and I were on a team and they set the clock for 15 minutes.  We had three exercises (ring pulls - like a row, barbell push press, and walking lunges) 20 reps each - 10 from me and 10 from her - and we went through the circuit as many times as we could.  We got 5 rounds in!  It wasn't as intense of a workout as I was anticipating but Michelle said sometimes you catch an easy one like that.  BUT, this next Thursday I get to go again because they want to celebrate us being half-way through the challenge and all work out together as a team.  I can't wait!

Today for lunch we had Ryan's brother over for food & football

We stuck sweet and regular potatoes in the oven before we left for church and then we also had some chicken breasts seasoned up and ready to bake as soon as we got home.  We had a spinach salad too with hard boiled egg, avocado, tomatoes, onion, and Ryan threw in a tiny handful of cheese before I stopped him! ha.

The Broncos were playing pretty terribly and were down 15-0 with two minutes left.  Something crazy miraculous happened though and Tim Tebow brought them back for the WIN!!!  Ryan was going crazy and was in a super good mood after that. :)

I used this recipe to make us breakfast for the week and I'm hoping it's delicious, quick, and easy.  I used 17 eggs, 1/2 lb. of sausage, spinach, onions, and green peppers and went ahead and sliced it into squares for easy portions.  Even though I'll likely eat two squares.

Oh, I have to share this.  I dressed Karlyn in a new outfit for church and totally forgot to take the tag off her skirt.  Woops.

Oh well.  She still looked cute.

She has been super fussy/clingy some nights after dinner and refuses to let go of my legs while I try to work in the kitchen.  It's cute but restricting.

I'm looking forward to Wednesday night because our church is having their annual "Trunk or Treat" Fall Festival.  Our Sunday School class is having a little basketball booth for the kids but before I help out there I'm going to take Karlyn around in her little outfit.  Our friend Nicole, the bow girl, graciously brought me this bow to church this morning so Karlyn could wear it on Wednesday.

Nicole is going in TONIGHT to start the induction process with little Emma, her 3rd sweet baby.  She will have 3 under 3.  God bless her!!

Hope you all have a fabulous week :)
