I have not been eating well. And I can prove it.
Lately I've consumed:
4 pieces of Pizza Hut supreme pizza. (not at one time!) 1 Chic-fil-a cinnamon roll and some chicken mini biscuits. 1 bag of chocolate covered popcorn from CVS. Several remaining chocolate chip cookies I made a week or so ago. IHOP...
But - I've also been eating:
Apples! Oatmeal with raisins and almond milk. Bananas. Crockpot pinto beans. Some veggies. Almond butter.
My point?
You don't have to eat perfectly. It's all about balance. I rationalize some less than perfect food choices with the fact that I'm:
Working out. Carting around a 12 lb human and all her
Those = Burning calories.
Granted, I think my eating has relaxed a lot in the last year...well, ever since I got pregnant. I definitely didn't do a free-for-all but I ate what I wanted, in mostly moderate portions. Which is how I eat most of the time. Ryan would say I've changed :)
I have a post coming sometime about why I don't like diets and why they rarely work.
~Eat mostly healthy things. In moderate portions. Eat when you're hungry, stop when you're satisfied. But sometimes don't. Sometimes eat a bowl of ice cream when you're not hungry, and you just ate pizza, and you think it sounds good. And then take a walk the next day. Or lift some weights. Think about what sounds good and then how you might be able to make it a little bit healthier.

I go back to work tomorrow! I am hoping to balance being a mom with a part time position at the company I've worked at for the past 3 years. I'm praying for a smooth transition this week for both me and Karlyn and I am so excited about the way God has worked out both my job and our childcare arrangements.
So yes. I have to put my thinking cap back on tomorrow. Good thing I've kept up my typing skills though, via facebook. ;>

Great post! I always need a little reminder about this- that it's OK to have some ice cream once in a while.
Gotta live a little :) Yum I totally want a cinnamon roll
Oh my gosh, I had never had one of theirs. SO GOOD!
Hope things go smoothly for you. I'm sure they will though! :)
