Rrrrruffles have rrrrridges

Hmm.  So it's kinda hard to keep up a semi-food blog when the thought of said food leaves you reeling.  The nausea's kicked in the past few days and it's left me consuming quite a diverse diet.

I eat what sounds good in the moment.  Then later when I remember what I ate, I'm like, ug!  Gross!  Today's choices?

Eggs + turkey sausage + cereal. Chips + dip someone brought up to work (this was probably the best thing I had all day.) Some leftover pasta from last night. A few gummy bears.  More chips. Sour Cream & Onion Ruffles.  Ginger Ale.

Ryan saw the Ruffles in the pantry and said, "What are THESE!?"  I said, "They're not for you."  :>  I bought several recommended anti-nausea items at Wal-Mart last night:  Saltines, Ginger Ale, Ginger Snaps, and Lemon-Lime G2 Gatorade.  Today may have been a little better than yesterday but it's just an all day queasiness.  I've heard this is often over by the end of the first trimester so I'm crossing my fingers!

I wanted to post a few pictures from the rest of our Mother's Day weekend.  Sharon, my sweet mother-in-law gave us our fun first baby present!  Along with this cute card :)

Cute pink + green onesies! (Are these onesies?  I'm not sure.)  And no, we're not having twins ;>

A soft-white-fleece-hooded-wrap thing!

So fun.  And because HIS BIRTHDAY IS NEXT MONDAY and I know you can't get enough of him...Dodger.  With uncle Luke.

He's single ladies ;>

I'm gonna try to work up the energy and appetite to make these tonight.  Happy Tuesday~

I remember what the all day queasiness felt like! I would feel myself getting sick just looking in the pantry or fridge, trying to decide what to eat! Many days I wouldn't bring anything with me to work for lunch because nothing sounded good, and would end up running up to Sonic for a corn dog and tater tots. Not very nutritious, but at least it was something! I felt much better after my first trimester, and pray that you will too!!!

Oh yes, the icky feeling. I ate a ton of bean burritos during my first trimester with Makenzie. Your normal food taste comes back (mostly) though. You have about another 6-8 weeks though. Not fun, I know!

Rachael, that's exactly what it is. I open the fridge and pantry and think, ug...nothing in there I want to eat!
