The Big 3-0

I was blessed this weekend to have my first shower, given by the amazing girls in my Sunday School class.  It was so fun!  Here are a few pics:  *I deleted my group one :/ accidentally when I was going through pics today...hopefully Amanda got it!

How beautiful is this cake!??  Sarah did a great job picking it out.  All of the food was A-mazing!

This was too cool!  A diaper cake with Nicole's bows in every color imaginable !  She even made some special Bronco's bows :-)

I love this!  I can't believe Andrea got the bird to match the birds on the bedding!  The girls all signed it and it just makes it seem so real to see her NAME on things.  Such a special gift!

I loved opening everything!  Diapers, Wipes, Cute pink jogging suit!  We got some Target gift cards too which are great!  I am so grateful for these girls and the friendships I have made since joining this class.  Hearing advice on what to take to the hospital and diaper brands was helpful and just knowing that I have people I can ask questions of is huge.

My mom and sister came too which was fun.  My mom gave us the curtain valance for Karlyn's room that matches the dust ruffle.  We hung it yesterday and it looks great!

Me and Amanda.  Amanda has been such a great friend to me and has prayed for this little girl long before we even knew about her.  Her constant encouragement has pulled me through at times and kept me going.

THANK YOU AGAIN TO EVERYONE!  And to Mary for opening your home :>

Today is the big 3-0.  I'm 30 weeks.  So close but so far away?

I have to admit, there have been a couple rough days lately.  Trying to figure out how to sleep at this stage and then how to get through the work day can be a challenge.  Friday night I was just feeling big and blah.  I know it was the lack of sleep which has always affected me big time.  If I don't sleep, I start getting down about things and for some of this weekend, I felt like I was in a fog and just wanted to REST.  Last night I finally got some sleep, but I dreamt all. night. long.  My pillow configuration was 2 regular pillows under my head, layered? and a long body pillow on the side.  It seemed to work, although being exhausted and a bath before bed couldn't have hurt.  I know that's just the beginning though and that much more sleep has yet to be lost.  I'm only going to get bigger, and my back's only going to ache more.  But it's all going to be worth it.  I know it :>

I think it hit Ryan yesterday to see the diapers and things, that he's really going to be a dad.  He's going to do GREAT even if he doubts himself now.  I told him, no first time dad ever knew what they were doing.!  We'll figure it out together.

I love him and Karlyn and can't wait until we see her tiny face. ;-)

You look so beautiful!! 30 weeks!!!!! YAY!! :) Sleeping has definitely become a bit more difficult. I cannot be on my back for more than 10 seconds before it is extremely uncomfortable.

Looks like you had a beautiful shower. Congrats on being 30 weeks. It's getting so close. It's so cute that Ryan is nervous. I am sure that both of you will be fine. :)
