Someone on Facebook the other day commented on making a fruit salad. And I knew I had to have some!
My colanders were dirty!

So good! Except I didn't add any lemon juice and the bananas kinda browned :( Still tastes great though! How great is FRUIT in the Summertime!??? Love it. This one had canteloupe, banana, crushed pineapple, apple, strawberries, oranges, AND RED GRAPES! Red grapes so dominate green grapes. Please tell me you agree.
Fruit is great alone, with yogurt, in a smoothie, or on top of pancakes! It's hydrating because of its high water content and the natural sugars found in fruit make it the perfect, healthy "sweets" substitute.
TGIT, right!? This weekend I have plans for both work and relaxation. Tomorrow night I'm meeting my BFF Lindy for dinner at Olive Garden. I haven't been there in a while and I love their salad! What do you order there? I've had pasta of course, pizza, and even some chicken one time. I'll have to wait and see what I'm craving at the time ;>
Saturday Ryan and I have a big work day planned around the house. AND, it's supposed to be H.O.T. That's fine. I'm don't mind getting sweaty when I'm actually working and getting things done. Do you have a "Saturday routine?" We usually clean the house, get groceries, (although lately that's been pushed to Sundays) and then relax that night, maybe go see Ryan's parents. Sunday we do NOTHING! And that's the way it should be :--)
I'd love to hear your favorite ways to eat fruit or a special fruit salad recipe you love! I actually make one that I stole from Ryan's aunt where you mix your fruit with lime yogurt, walnuts, and craisins! It's FANtastic!

The fruit salad looks refreshing and quite yummy! I usually prefer my fruit on its own--nothing added--just plain and simple. :-) However, I LOVE fruit pies and cobblers, especially in the summertime!
I LOVE fruit salad! This one looks so yummy. I gotta disagree with you on the grapes, though, I like green ones best! Depending on the mix of fruit, I like to toss my fruit salad with agave and a dash of cinnamon. That lime yogurt-walnut-cranberry version sounds awesome!
Apple or peach cobbler...delish!
Amber, it is so good! And easy! I wouldn't have thought of cinnamon but I bet that's great.
I've been eating a lot of fruit and veggies this past week. I haven't even thought about making a fruit salad. I have everything that you put in your salad except for the grapes. I now know what I'm having for lunch tomorrow! :-)
I love fruit salad and I'm like you, I completely forget about it. It definitely ups my fruit intake that way though :>
