7 Facts of Random

Hi !

This will be a quick post...but something I've been meaning to do!

Tina, at "A Tina Bit of Faith, Fitness, and Fun" graciously awarded me this Beautiful Blogger Award last month!  I was so excited to get it!!  To participate, I need to share 7 interesting things about me.  Andd, nominate 7 others to do the same.  So here we go!

1) I'm the oldest of 8 kids.  Yep!!  I have 6 younger brothers and 1 younger sister...and all our names start with "K!"  Kati, Kyle, Klay, Kollin, Keith, Kaleb, Karoline, Kolton.  The "K" thing is kind-of a tradition.  My dad is one of 6 kids and their names all start with "K."  I LOVE being from a big family and I wouldn't trade any of them. **And no, we're not Catholic or Morman** :)

2) I've held several different jobs over the years.!  Starting when I was younger...I cleaned houses, painted houses (inside and out!), and worked as a Brookshire's "sacker," or courtesy clerk ;>  Through college I worked at our school's Wellness Center- at the front desk and then as a manager.  During the summers in college, and back home, I worked at an old-fashioned ice cream parlor and then at a Curves-type circuit gym.  After college:  I got my first "real job" as a personal trainer at Larry North.  This is where it gets a litte hairy.  I went from there to being a car dealership sales clerk?? :/ and from there to a physical therapy tech.  I now work as an account administrator for a great company!  I've been here 2.5 years.

3) I hate cottage cheese.  Hate. It.  I know it's suppsed to be this healthy super food but I can't stand the texture.  I have thrown it in protein pancakes before but by itself, no thanks.  The thought of makes me want to gag.

4) I was home-schooled.  Most of my life!  I did go to preschool and kindergarten at a "real school."  Then as a freshman, I took 2 classes at the private school where my dad worked.  I stayed at home my sophomore year and then finished up my junior and senior year at the same school.  I liked it.  I appreciate my mom for sticking with it as long as she did!  I don't plan to home-school myself but I am grateful for my educational background.  It must not have stunted me too bad...I went on to college and graduated with a Bachelor's degree.

5) I love cereal.  I eat it almost every night before bed.  I tell myself the carbs/tryptophan combo will lull me right to sleep.  Most nights it works!

6) When I was little, I was playing a game with my cousins where someone hides an object and the rest of the group looks for it.  Wow, we were home-schooled creative.  Anyways, I climbed up this dresser/shelf type thing that a. wasn't attached to the wall and b. was full of glass jars + objects.  The thing fell over on me and I was all bloody :/  I had to get 2 stiches on the top left of my head and I was upset and scared the whole way to the hospital.

7) Last but definitely not least, I have a horrible sense of direction.  Like horrible, I would often call my mom crying because I was lost horrible.  I have gotten better.  Whether my brothers believe it or not.  My in-laws bought us a Tom-Tom gps system last year for Christmas which helps immensely!

So there ya go.  7  random facts about yours truly :>  I now pass this award onto the following (5 not 7!) people:

I love cereal before bed too! I would much rather have it before bed than at breakfast time! I do try to only eat it if I am actually hungry, though.
