Tuesday's over! Which means we're almost half-way through the week! Today was a better day than yesterday...I went to the gym again! That's twice in 4 days. Hold the applause. I decided to go during the middle of my day instead of after work. It was actually a nice boost and made the rest of the day fly by! I did an almost identical workout to Saturday's:
10 min. elliptical
20 min. lifting
10 min. treadmill
I focused on back, legs, and triceps today. I did lat pull-downs, db squats, tricep extensions, reverse lunges, seated row, tricep pulldowns, reverse flyes.
On the way home I stopped by Tom Thumb to pick up some Almond milk and cereal. A lot of stores now are beginning...
**Ok, had to take a break there. This is so embarrasing!! I was sitting here blogging and the timer went off for the cornbread. I turned to go get it and TRIPPED OVER THE COMPUTER CORDS! I fell and put most of my body weigh on my left are which was straightened. Ouch! I laid there, out of breath, and felt very dizzy...trying to decide if I'd broken it! The stupid timer kept beeping and I thought, "I need to get it out of there before it burns!" I got up and took that out and then felt verrry clammy and started to sweat :/ It was weird! I was so cold! I wrapped a blanket around me and laid on the couch till Ryan got home. I wanted some sympathy :< I've taken 2 Ibuprofen now and am obviously able to type :> It's very sore though when I try to bend or flex it. I can't imagine how it'll feel tomorrow. I feel so silly! Oh well**
Annyways, I was saying...a lot of stores now are beginning to give you coupons along with your purchase receipt. At Tom Thumb tonight, I got a coupon for a FREE half gallon of almond milk! I usually buy the Almond Breeze brand but guess what brand my coupon was for? Silk!!! Silk makes soy milk but apparently they are now venturing into Almond milk! I can't wait to try it!
Thank the Lord I made dinner before "the fall" tonight! ha. The menu was: Chili, Cornbread, and Guacamole! I really just made the guac because the avacados needed to be used. I made chili last Monday too, for us and for my boss's family. I'd never made it before but it's so easy! Brown 1 lb. of 93/7 ground beef (lean-er!) Combine that with 1 can of pinto beans, 1 can of "chili ready" diced tomatoes, and 1 packet of chili seasoning. What could be easier? And it's so good! Great for a cold night like tonight.
(pre-oven-pre fall! ha ha) we love this sweet cornbread mix!
I want to tell you guys about a FUN give-a-way!!! Tina, over at faithfitnessfun is giving away a variety pack of Gnu Flavor & Fiber bars! I've only tried 1 or 2 of these before and would love to win! There are some great flavors like Espresso Chip and Cinnamon Raisin. Go on over and enter for yourself too! :--) I'll share the love ;>
Tina is also trying to win a contest for a set of profesional pictures for her sweet daughter Makenzie! Be a dear and help her out! Click this link and vote for #24! You can vote as many times as you want and I know Tina would love to win! do it! do it! do it! :>
Alllrighty then. I think I'm gonna wrap this up and rest my poor elbow :< (and catch up my blog reading ;>) hey, no hands needed! right?
One more thing. Make me feel better :-) Have you ever had a bad fall? Trip!? Were you by yourself or in front of a big group? Did you laugh afterwards or want to cry? I need to know I'm not the only klutzy one!
G'night ya'll.

Thanks for the love :)I hope your arm is okay. I can't think of a specific fall right now, but I am a HUGE klutz so you're not alone.
Tripping oh yes...I have worn my fair share of high heels and caught a curb or a crack and gone splat. Not pretty, but hey, it's life :)
Well, this "fall" isn't totally my fault but it's a funny story...When I was in high school, I was at a 311 concert and decided to crowdsurf. I think it was only my second time. I made it to the front of the crowd without getting groped inappropriately or anything :P The big bouncer guy at the front grabbed me to lift me down, but when I fell off the top of the crowd and onto the floor, all of a sudden my shirt was pulled halfway off my head! The bouncer had grabbed my SHIRT instead of ME, so when I fell, he held onto the shirt and it came most of the way off! I pulled it back down and stood up and ran away as fast as I could...haha, oh, to be sixteen again.
Yes, I slipped and fell walking outside of our office when it was in Richardson. I didn't think anybody saw me until I looked and saw my co-worker Robin trying not to laugh...sometimes you just have to laugh :)
